I have always said I-O-S (each letter separately), which is why I refer to multiple IOS as "IOS's". I do the same with almost all acronyms. Yesterday Krank told me it was pronounced "IOS as in BIOS." That seemed very strange to me, and I was wondering what other people thought.
As far as I'm concerned, acronyms are a way to be lazy, and when people pronounce them as if they were words, they take laziness to another level. I feel the same way when I hear people pronounce "G.U.I" like "gooey".

Then how do you say apple's iOS. (weird how they have the same name...)
I have always said "I-O-S" and "Custom I-O-S" as you but I am lazy when it comes to "Basic Input Output System" and pronounce it as BIOS.

I pronounce multiple IOS as ''IOSes'', because I read it this way at the very beginning (on WiiBrew).

I pronounce ''OS'' from ''Operating System'' different, though. I say ''O-S'', not ''OS''.

I think with the I-O-S or IOS thing that it is so close, it reminds me of the po-tay-toe or po-tah-toe thing. It all comes down to preference. In the end everyone knows what you mean :) Besides if you say it like IOS slowly it sounds more like I-O-S
I say it as I-O-S myself....
What about ISO's??
