The Jersey Shore and Vista updating. Watching this show makes me feel like hiding the fact that I'm mostly Italian. I can be pretty Ginzo some times but those kids are ridiculous. At least I have some Irish to fall back on.

My wife likes it. Admittedly I laugh sometimes. Mostly at how trashed they get, how much they embarrassed themselves (and consequently Italian Americans), and how they seem to be having a contest to see who can be the biggest douche.

I am almost all Irish (not that much different than Italian in embarassing ourselves with alcohol and temper tantrums), but have been around and gotten along with all sorts of Italians. These kids are just living in a time when anything goes and they got the hormones to do it lol.

If there is something that needs to be made fun of they seem to get it done.

The sad part is I know people that are almost like them. But they don't do it on TV. My buddy Geo lived with his parents until he was 34 even though he had a decent job making about $1200 a week. He wanted to spend all him money on partying, booze, clothes, cars, women, so forth... Finally his dad had to tell him he loved him but it was time to go. But he purposely over did the Guido thing and loved to drop that he was actually born in Italy even though he left out the part that his parent moved here when he was 6 months old. But Italian families seem to be close like that. I don't think any of my aunts moved from my grandparents house until they were well in their 20s and found a guy to settle down with.

I totally agree. I have seen a few episodes I could live without, but I just figured it was just me.
