Exclamation White Screen of Death - d2pro+SSBB

Good day.
i have just started using my wii with my brand new d2pro modchip ( 9 wires)
my wii is a d2c up to date (3.3U)
i tried to run a backup of mario galaxy, and it was fine,
i runned mario kart (yeah! it is very fun!) and it runned alright (imgburn+sony DVD+R in 4x, game from reliable torrent)

then i got to the crown's jewel: SSBB. (Verbatim +R DL, 4x imgburn: works on the wii of a friend, i've seen it working!!! and he had wiikey!)
then, to my great sadness, it doens't run at all. =(
i can get to create my save file (once, on the first boot) and then it will read just intill the first loading screen, then it will fall in the white screen of death and nothing will work anymore.

what should i do? how can i solve this issue?

i am sorry to post a now thread with only this, but this problem is very important for me, any help will be really appreciated.
--sorry about my borat-like english!

you must have layer break and the burn speed must be 2.4x or lower, i burned at 2.4x but had eading issues but the game worked reburned at 1x and everything is fine.

thx jebise101.
and then the slower i burn it the better?
i thought that the best speed to burn would be 4x (something between 3x and 6x... my d2pro is set as default to read both Single and double layers at 6x)

then i should re-burn it in a verbatim/sony +R DL dvd using img burn, set layerbreak to which value? and should i use 2.4 or 1x? which would be better?
and how can i explain the fact that the game runned on an onld wii (wiikey 1.9g)???
thx again.

The layer break number to use is: 2084960 burn it a 1x and make sure the book type is dvd-rom should be by default. The slower you burn the better it is for the wii, faster burns puts more strain on the laser which will kill you laser faster. The best media to use is verbatim-r for signal layer games and memorex +R DL for dual layer games but you should be fine with verbatim +R DL. Never use sony only use quality media such as verbatium, memoerx, fujifilm etc. The wiikey dose not need layerbreak and that why it work but the d2pro dose or it might be all chip that are installed on a d2c.

make sure yoiu burn it at 1x and not 4x, you can try it without layer break and see if it makes a difference. i have the same wii setup as you and i got it to work the way i told you.

that is very interesting:
it ran!
well it worked!
and the thing is: sometimes it reads thru, sometimes not!
gee!
i also got the very same problem with mario kart: which is burnt on a +R DVD.
the game, when it runs, reads perfectly and silently, a clear indication that there is no great difficulty in reading the disc... i therefore think that 4x is ok as a burn speed... all my -R games are recorded this way and i never got any issue!
now: Brawl is different. maybe i could use a -R DL disc....that should do fine, eh?
about the speed issue: it is strange to record it at 1x, for the reader reads at 6x or 3x.... which can be set on the chip setup...
anyone has any other clue to what is going on?!!?
thx!

Not to be 'that guy', but just to be on the safe side...
I burned it WITH layerbreak, WITHOUT bitsetting (though it's supposed to remember that after the first time, so probably...) with ImgBurn on Verbatim +R DL at 4x.
And even better: I burn all my non-DL games with Nero, at 4x WITHOUT bitsetting. (Not even once, so no.)

My set-up: Wii G2C-D1A, D2Pro9, Wii-Clip V4C.

hum. you are the first one speaking about bitsetting.
i am new to it.
i used all standard configuration with imgburn, all except the layerbreak.
i am upset because i cannot play the SSE mode... too bad... i still think i'll be able to find a way to solve it...
but as i said before: i don't think 1x 2x or 4x will make any big difference.....
just to quote it:
i remind that once i recorded a PS2 dvd with 1x and the videos didn`t run very well, it keep re-caching every 2 seconds....
since then, i am always afraid of attempting a 1x burn again...

anyways: the good thing is that tonight i play with my friends!
see ya!

Had the same thing happen to me with a d2ckey. Had to switch to Memorex media for the same image to work. Good luck with it.
