ModChip and the Wii
I would just like to get a few thing clarified when having a modchip installed in the Wii. I got my wii installed with the d2pro9.
1.) What are some good applications that i should use when playing non-region games, i herd of brick blocker and WUM. Which is better/safer?
2.) This is very noob question but, How can you check your virtual tickets? Is it the account activity in the wii shopping channel?
3.) How would you check virtual tickets for WAD files/ VC games that was installed by a WAD installer or Homebrew channel/TP hack etc.
4.) Wiiconnect24 is it safe to have that enabled 24x7 because i have it turned off right now.
5.) Playing games online, Is it ok to play games online because it requires wiiconnect24?
6.) Do i need the free region application? i think no because i have the d2pro9
7.) Is the Nintendo channel a bad thing to have? my bro downloaded it to test it but its kinda pointless if you ask me. He installed it before we got the modchip and we didn't go on the channel yet and i just removed it, but it dose show up in the account activity in wii shopping channel.
8.) Is the Wii shopping channel safe to use if you have WAD/homebrew installers and such?
9.) How dose Nintendo check up on the Wii, i don't care if i am sending data to Nintendo if i am playing a game online(unless it puts me at risk of a ban etc), but i care about things like the today achievements/virtual tickets being sent to Nintendo. I want to keep that stuff in my Wii and no where else.
10.) Is there a way to remove the useless channels like the news/forecast channel?
What I am kinda afraid of is what Microsoft did with the xbox when it first came out. I drought that Nintendo will stop the Wii form working altogether, but i am afraid that they will ban my Wii from online play so I am trying to take precautions now, plus i do not want Nintendo to know what i am doing on my Wii.
