From what I've read so far, to play certain region free games I need to update firmware of my wii.
I recently got a modded JPN wii, came with JPN mario kart which works fine. I've read that it has the newest updates, so does that mean I can play NTSC super smash on my machine without bricking?
as long as you use wii brick blocker on the iso it should have no problems
