i have a two quick question which Google couldn't answer can the d2pro recive an update using a cd and is it working with the latest wii update for the pal system

you are thinking of the d2pro9 that is dvd update able
cant update with a cd u need to use a dvd

i has hopping the original d2pro was DVD updatable because i cant solder so i have to get one of those presolderd d2pros if i get the original d2pro will nintendo ever release an update that will brick my wii? what are my other options for updating?

i doubt it but u never now it is some what update you will need the new 'd2prog' USB programmer to apply firmware upgrades to the mod chip
this is how it works

A flat cable connects the chip to the programmer (if supported), and a mini-USB connects the programmer to your computer. If the chip does not have a flat cable connection, soldered connections can be made to the jtag connectors on the chip. Software is then run on your computer to update the chip.

ok thanks again i think i will just get the the chip without the programer and just be carful when new wii updates come out
