How to handle modchips
I've heard from a lot op people that they ran into some problems with the wiikey and other modchips. The most complaints are about games not working or freezing up on startup. Well the solution is that not all the games work with the modchips. Wikipedia has a list of alle the different games and systems and how they work. I hope you guys find it as usefull as i did.

I listed this same thing a couple weeks ago, however after much more use of my wii it is not as useful as you may think. in fact, I will go as far as saying that I have 35 games now, 25 of which are my region (NTSC) 8 PAL and 2 JAP. I ahve NEVER had a problem with a game not running that waas native NTSC even though the list claimed it would not work. Having downloaded all these games I have a feeling that it is just games outside of your region that sometimes do not work, they will work on occasion but not always. I would only look at that list if you KNOW that you are downloading a game that is out of your region. Perfect example is I downloaded Boogie PAL which would freeze up after the loading screen. I Downloaded Boogie NTSC and it works just fine.

Yes, you are right about that , alle games from you own region work fine. it's only a list to see which games from other regions work or don't work on your system. So far for me all the games the site said wouldn't work on my pal system (ntsc metriod prime3 for example) didn't work.

There are a few games that I got working on my NTSC system that were not supposed to have worked. I think with the wiikey there will be some breakthroughs with games that are currently not working. only time will tell

I do keep a copy of every ntsc game that doesn't work on my Pal system just in case they find a solution or a update for the wiikey that fixes the problem

With this you could make of a ntsc or jap game a pal version or otherway around
But remember with a d2ckey you could play 40% of the jap and 70%of the ntsc games. To be sure if it could play burn it first on a dvd+rw so it will not cost you any dvd
Grtz Orton.
