Registered nicks are nice to have also, so you can type /ns register (password) (email). Then UICN will send you an email with a confirmation number. Copy and Paste the confirmation number into the command line. Go ahead and and type /ns set autoop on* so that everytime you log on you can type /ns identify (password).

*if you set autoop on, this accomplishes a couple of things, one is if you have privileges, you will be auto op'd by robocop. Or if you are a "regular" iRC patron, we will put you on the vop list to autovoice you in the channel.
