When I load my nes/snes/gba emulators from the HBC I can load roms from my hdd no problem, but when I use forwarder channels to run the emulators I get a "USB drive not found!" error.

I don't mind running everything from the HBC, but I would rather be able to start the emulators from channels. I've been searching for hours and haven't found a solution. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

N64 emulation ideas outside the box thinking

i wanna start a thread about ALTERNATIVE sideways thinking ways of emulating n64 games or injecting n64 virtual console games. There just is not enough games that work by injecting roms so we need to think of new ways

heres three of my ideas

1. Inject wii64 boot.dol into a n64 vc wad (not sure of right way of doing this but it is possible to inject .dol files into wad`s with autoinjectuwad and in theory (a mad mans theory i.e me this could improve wii64)
2. This is more likely to work finding a way to break down the n64 wad files and find out what activates the wii`s internal n64 emulator and building a hombrew emulator that basically just read roms and uses them by booting the wii`s n64 emulator

3. would it not be possible to unpack your wii nand and find the n64 emulator?

Im probably being crazy but why not try to think a bit outside the box we need working n64 emulation on every n64 game come on people lets do this

i am a NOOB i will admit that i just really want this to work out for everyone

Hi,

I am curious as to whether there is a way to put my SNES9x and other roms onto my WBFS drive and load them from there?

I want to get a few emulators running but only have a 2GB SD card but have plenty of room on my USB device. I don't want to have to repartition it though.

Cheers

I love the advice everyone game on here how to hack my wii and homebrew channel and all. But I got one issue. I downloaded a couple of emulators and put a lot of roms on my 8 gig memory card.

Not a problem . Howerver , when I go on homebrew channel , its only reaging like 1400 megs of space left on it.. I decided to put the sd card in my computer ot confirm this, being that nes, and master systme games dont take up too much space and neither do SNES roms.

On my computer it states I have 5.1 gigs of free space remaining on the SD card. Ok Im not good at math and all, but if 1024 megs= a gig, shouldnt I ahve moe downloading information for my sd card?

I have been trying to get my emulators to run form the USB drive aswell but seem to be having problems. If i run Snes9x GX or FCE Ultra Wii GX etc (all latest versions) through the HBC via a boot.dol or wad channel, then i can select the USB harddrive and it will find the USB drive no problems and im able to play my games from it. But, i have some custom ISO of these emulators so i can run them through a USB loader (im currently using Wiiflow), when i loader them through Wiiflow, the emulators load fine, but when i select the USB device as a source for where my roms are, i get the message 'USB Drive Not Found', i also get this same message if i use a forwarder for these emulators!!

Why can these emulators find my USB device ok when i load them through the HBC or wad channel but not if i load the through Wiiflow/USB Loader GX or a forwarder?, it doesnt seem to creat a 'Settings.xml' file either, i have to tell it where the rom folder is for the roms everytime as it doesnt seem to remember this as the load section in the emulator is blank yet once i input the folder where the roms are it still cannot find my USB drive.

I cant see why its not working as all a forwarder is is a shortcut, and tells the Wii where the snes9x folder with the boot.dol file is!, so i cant see why it would work when loading from the HBC but not when using a forwarder or ISO. Please Help!

PS i have hermes iso installed would these cause this problem, if so how do i go about uninstalling them?
