I soft modded my first gen wii about 2 weeks ago using the wiihacks guide. Everything has worked great except I can't get any of the installed USB loaders (Loader GX, CFG Loader, Wiiflow) to recognize any of my FAT 32 hard drives (formatted using the guide and EaseUs). One that I tried is a 160 GB WD Passport Essential which is listed on the compatibility list. Anyway at this point I'm not sure there is anything else I can try and it is most likely just a HD compatibility issue. However WiiMC recognizes all of my drives no problem. Just wondering if there would be any reason for them to be compatible with WiiMC and not the loaders? I am very new to this so for all I know the respective apps have completely different ways they access the drives. Just thought I would run it by you guys and see what you thought before I go out and buy another HDD. Thanks for looking

first of all i have browsed the forum for a answer but with no luck, i have softmodded my Wii with Mauifrogs guide, and downloaded the app pack with Usb loader GX, Wiiflow ect. and all is good (top marks for making a idiot walkthrough to, that REALLY helped.)
Anyway the issue i'm having is that i have a Kingston Datatraveler 200 64GB data stick (which the compatibility guide said was ok) formatted to FAT32 with a WBFS folder for games.... I started to add games which was great, but when ever i get to 4 games all is well, however the 5,6,7,8 ect transfer but immediately disappear when i remove the datastick? the folder remains but the .WBFS file vanishes. i safely remove the drive, oh and i'm using Wii game manager to transfere files to my Datastick.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I have a few games that are wad files and I know you can extract the iso image from the files using wbfs manager, however I cannot get the wad files to load on a formatted wbfs hdd. and if I format it to fat32 I can put the wad files on but obviously then the wbfs manager does not recognize the device. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I'm stumped (just mentally).
I soft modded my wii about two years ago. No real problems, a few games don't work (black screens and freezing) but overall I've been very satisfied.
Now, all of a sudden GX loader isn't showing the games when I copy them to the HDD. (the old ones are still there)
I tried backing up Wii sports Resort (original disc). It said it had installed ok but nothing was on the loader (no cover etc).

This has also happened with the other few games I've tried to put on through WBFS Manager (which I've always used).
The only thing I can possibly put this down to is a change in the drives letter (I know this seems a weak solution but I have no other idea)
Any ideas
