What I'm trying to say is, is there a way to copy saves you get from online to the Wii? I know it's possible, just not sure if it is with the situation I'm in. For instance:

I want to copy a Mario Party 8 save to my Wii. I have the game as an ISO, and have played it through USBLoaderGX and CFGLoader. There was a save on my Wii for the game after I played it. I wondered if I could copy a save from online to my Wii System memory. So, I deleted the save from my Wii, and tried to copy the online save that was on my SD Card (and yes, I know I placed it in the right place). But it said "You must play this game first" or whatever. It wouldn't let me copy the save. I assume that it was because the Wii has logged the playtime as "USB Loader GX" instead of "Mario Party 8", as it can't possibly log the ISO's you play.

Is there a way to bypass this? Could PriiLoader help? Ok...First off let me tell you all the story.

My firend asked me to hack his wii since I had experience with that kind of thing I went ahead and tried to do this I followed this guide External Link Removed My friend said he was on 4.1U and I even checked and yet It was on 4.1U so I came back the next day and got the homebrew channel installed (not thinking about installing bootmii because I thought that It was impossible to brick because everything was done properly) then I went ahead and booted up wad manager and installed the cios, the wii restarted and went to a blank black screen. This was 3 years ago or something like that, the thing Is my friends wife installed 4.2U on It without telling me and so It bricked the Wii. No bootmii no preloader, no nothing. I was on Cios38rev17.

So what I'm asking Is, how am I able to get this Wii running properly again? I press the power button, the green light comes on the disc spins acting like It's booting the wii game but It's just a blank black screen. No flashing of the screen no nothing. No NAND backup either.

And to just clear myself I am considered a noob at this now, I havnt really touched a Wii or anything like that In a few years so I don't know much at all about the Wii scene.

I'm realy new to this kind of stuff,
I had a wii with system version 4.2 and updated it to 4.3e.
4.2 was softmodded and i just updated (while it was softmodded) to 4.3e

when it was finished i still had the homebrew channel and the other channels, but USB Loader GX crashed after that, WiiFlow did the samething
and when i opend mightyloader i got this message:
*ERROR: I can't load IOS249 (ret = -6)

I googled on that exact prashe and luckily i found this topic:

The answer was: Just re-softmod your wii!
I used letterbomb clicked on install Bootmii, didn't installed the homebrew channel again.

But i still get the error message! I hope somebody can help me out with this ;)

2) The softmod ANY Wii has me formatting the SD card using my PC three times during the process. Why? And I presume that each time I format the SD card I am suppose to make a backup of the data, format, and then put the backed up data back on the SD card before proceeding to the next chapter?
