I´d like to see the poems :D
Christmas time this year caught me off guard
What can I buy in times that are so hard?
Everywhere I look and what do I see
A million deals out there, just waiting for me.
But me with no job and me with no pay,
Leaves me scared for Christmas day.
The kids won't understand, you know
Why Santa has ignored them so.
No big boxes, no big toys,
Just dollar tree gifts for girls and boys.
I sighed and whimpered to a friend,
Who told me of a better end
Where kids get games for the Wii,
Without picking the pocket of mommy!
But how, I asked, could this be done?
Without costing me cash a-ton?
She talked to me about a place,
Full of people in cyber-space.
A website full of tips and guides,
To help this mom get hip and wise!
Wiihacks.com, she said to me,
Can help fulfill your childrens' dreams!
So off I browsed, and was she right!
A website full of bright insights;
Guides well-written for minds like mine
Who don't understand these techno-times.
So off I went, a Wii-modding mom
And sold my games to local pawn!
The kids were shocked on Christmas day,
To see what Mommy sold away.
But when I showed them their new toy,
They screamed and laughed, all full of joy.
A brand new hard drive, full of games,
Each one they shouted out by name!
"Go Kirby, Donkey Kong, Tetris, and Wario"!
"I got, Dora, Yoshi, and Mario"!
So my Christmas was saved, by my friend Dawn,
And some people at the site wiihacks.com.
Ps: I love this site! Thank you for helping me!!
It's a fictional poem ;) I don't know anyone named Dawn & I'm not a mom, either. :) For my hdd I traded/borrowed games from friends/family who have them and lent them mine in exchange. That way we all won. :)
Edit: Well, I am a part-time step-mom to a 3 year old girl, but that's it. :D
cool then :) nice poem
