Question regarding certain emulation (I already searched the best I could)

I am new to the whole Softmod Wii scene, but I am interested in getting backup copies of games I already own for past systems so I can access them all on the Wii. From my research, there are already emulation programs for NES, SNES, Genesis, GBC/GBA, Playstation 1, and Nintendo 64. I was wondering are there any emulators that would run backups of my Playstation 2, Gamecube, and DS games? I did my research but I found nothing.

I also found the threads "The Ultimate Emulation Guide" 1 and 2, which will help me greatly.

    Thank you in advance!

The work emulation pulled me away from my MAME list.

PS2 - There are no Wii PS2 emulators
GC - The Wii plays GC games by default. You have to install cMIOS and use a backup launcher like NeoGamma to play backups if your drive is capable. Stomp_442 has a guide on here.
DS - DeSmuME is for DS. I cover it in the second part of my emulation guides.

Maybe their drive isn't capable of playing backups? Or they didn't know the Wii plays GC games if you pop them in your drive? Or maybe because there is one on the PC and all Wii emulators are PC ports?

That would make no difference at all

Sure it would. You could use disc images instead of real discs like any other disc system based emulator. Just like Dolphin.

Perfect thank you guys for the crazy fast responses! And Darkcide666 thanks for the guides man! I saw those first haha.

Also the DS Emulators, does the Wii remote basically serve as the stylus?

Also, I asked for a GC emulator because like I said I am new to the softmod business.

Exactlly. You can point it at the screen or use the D-pad and press A to tap it to the screen. If you're using a GC pad you use the C stick and Z. I should also add if you are using a Wii remote you need a nunchuck to act as the DS's D-pad, A, and B buttons.

Ok you win, didn't thought of that, haha

Only used emulators a couple of times. In my opinion emulators in wii suck, the same goes for the DS', but like I said that's just in my opinion. Don't want to start an emulator war here, lol

Dude you're the best, I really appreciate that! I am sure you'll see me again next week when I finally get to try out my softmodded Wii for the first time when I get back to school haha.
