Wow, I'd forgotten about the Linux instructions for my guide! I don't know how you remembered. Did you see something that reminded you, or is your memory just that good?

Lol, it's fine. No pictures needed. People with Linux are more likely to know how to do this anyway, since that usually means they did the install themselves.

I installed Gameboy Advance. When I go into it, the emulator starts, but it will not load from USB. My Snes9x loads the USB. I went into settings and told it to load from usb, and to load from vbagx/roms/. It says "unable to locate of load device" "usb drive not found". Why does the USB load in wiiware, wii games, super nintendo, nintendo but not VBAGX?

That is weird. I personally believe that certain apps don't like particular brands/models of SD/SDHC/USB. What works for one might not necessarily work for the other.

I updated SDL MAME Wii to 0.6. Thanks to the ever diligent richardsito for the heads up. The download link was still downloading 0.5. I also updated the pics and text while I was at it. Are the first six pics showing up as 0.6 for anyone? They are still showing up as 0.5 on my end.

So Ive followed your excellent guide and installed GxGeo. I have the bios and roms in the roms folder. When I launch it i get to the home screen as shown here, Press HOME to exit, 1 or 2 to load ROMSET, but no games are listed.

It might be your ROMs. I had that problem when I tried to use an old Kawaks ROM set that I've had forever. Then I used the Neo-Geo ROMs from my current MAME set and it solved my problems. The games were visible and launched.

Hi there. Just downloaded and got mame on the wii. But I have 3000 roms roughly and all are on the SD card but the mame menu only shows up to the letter "C" what am I doing wrong? and is the normal wii controller good for this or is it better to get a game cube controller ?

MAME has a game limit of 150 games so you are doing nothing wrong. If you put more than 150 ROMs in your folder your game list will cut off at the 150th game and the rest of the titles don't show. There is no way around it at this point unless Toad King decides to lift the game limit in future revisions. Put your favorite 150 arcade games in your folder and switch it up every now and again. Controllers are up to you. I use a combination of many controllers for many games. For example I use the Wii controller a lot for simple old school 1 or 2 button games but it's impossible to play Street Fighter II with the Wii controller so then I use the classic. I also like the feel of a GC pad so I use it a lot too.
