Might help you get help if you mention which emulator you are trying to use. Lots of Final Fantasy games on different platforms. Contrary to popular belief, we do not read minds.

You can thank the author by clicking the little thanks button on his post.

Did you check out the compatibility list he posted? The majority of FF titles are not playable. Might try running through his instructions again for your other game.

Dave mirra should work and final fantasy should at least make it to the title screen it says. I'm having the same problem with all my games.

I was thinking the questions in this thread would be more about the emulators and their set up but I'm always willing to help and am always ready for a challenge. I'm currently working on part two of my guide but took a little break to pop in and see what's going on. I'll test tomorrow. FF 6? 7? 8? 9? Tactics? It looks like only 6 and tactics are playable...So I'm assuming those are the two you want tested? I'm not testing non-playable games because that's a pointless waste of time. I can test if games work for me but I'm not a miracle worker that can make games work.

First of all, thanks alot for the guides..............

i added the snes (snex9gx) emulator and the nes (fce ultra gx), i added several roms to each one, all the games play perfect and fine, UNTIL i try to save the game then it says error. how can i save my game so i don't have to play another 5 hrs to get back to where i left off?

Are you trying to save in game or through the emulator? If you save state through the emulator you should be fine. If you try and save through an in game save option I would assume it would throw an error and not work...I've never tried so I'm not 100% sure. It would make sense seeing as how there is no battery backed up RAM to save to like an actual cart.

i'm saving to the emulator itself. i hit the home button, and click the save icon then it gives me the "error opening directory" message.
