Thanks a bunch bro, this list really helps.
I was about to ask about some of the roms that randomly kick me out to Homebrew Channel. it seems you already posted the message, so thanks again. If you want a few games down that do this, heres a list a roms I tried that kick me out to the Homebrew Channel:
Alien vs Predator (Any Version I believe)
Marvel vs Capcom (Any version I believe)

Thats it so far, I haven't tried any other games, but I'm planning on trying 3rd Strike and Alpha 3. Theres nothing to fix this is there? If there isn't, then no problem, I'm just glad X-men Arcade works great on SDL MAME finally, since thats my favorite beat em up next to Alien vs Predator.
    Thanks again for the list

EDIT: Ok I just tested Alpha 3 and third strike. I think this whole bringing you back to the Homebrew channel thing has to do with the games made for the CPS1- CPS2, aka, Capcom games.

Good luck with Third Strike...It's CPS3. There doesn't seem to be many problems with CPS1 games but CPS2 are a mixed bag. I've been debating whether or not to remove games the that don't launch from the list but they are listed as working by the emulator so I left them in. Maybe I should start a sub-list of working ROMs that fail to launch due to memory constraints if I don't remove them. Technically they don't work regardless of what the emulator says. Maybe I should start a poll to get the opinion of anyone who may be following this thread.

Yeah true. I also have a question though. In SDL MAME, if u have a lot of games, and your on the game select screen, how can u view them all when u can't scroll down to the other games, and u can't type in the name like u did on the PC version? I had a lot of em, but some of them wouldn't show, making it impossible to scroll down and see em.

That might have to do with the fact that you can only put 150 ROM in your folder max. Anything past 150 won't show. I should probably note that in the first post. I thought there was a way to use the keyboard to type a name but I could be wrong. Honestly I've never played around with a keyboard on the Wii so I'm unsure.

Actually, I only had like 10 roms. Third Strike wouldn't show.

Anything that doesn't show isn't supported. There are literally thousands like that so they are not even on my list. Thus far I have tested 5,177 ROMS and out of that only the ones on the list actually show up. For example I'll put 150 in my folder when I test and out of that 150 only about 10-50 will show up on average. I'm hoping to make this the definitive list on MAME for the Wii. By the time I am through if it is not on my list it will not show in MAME.

1.34u4 BIOS? I don't even know what you are talking about. BIOS are hardware specific i.e. Neo-Geo BIOS, Playchoice-10 BIOS, MegaTech BIOS, etc.. KI 1&2 do use CHDs on the PC so if you don't have them on the Wii I guess it won't play. Did you try to add the required CHDs to your folder along with the ROM and it still wouldn't launch? It's kind of a mystery to me because I didn't think MAME on the Wii supported CHDs?!?!?!? I'll have to further test them when I get home because I have all of the required files and it sure as hell is listed as working by the emulator. With my luck even with the proper files it will still fail because of the Wii's memory constraints. If it does work I'll add a note about the required CHDs. SFII WW, CE, and Hyper are the is the only SF games I've extensively tested and played a lot of. I can guarantee they work. Hyper was the only one that was a pain in my butt. WW and CE will fire up on their own if you are using just the parent or a clone with the parent in the same folder. Hyper will want both WW and CE parents present for some reason. If you are getting the missing files message while trying to launch them I would assume you are not actually using the parent.

I tried with the chd and it still didnt work.I dont get it, I thought as long as you have bios and the parent that it should work but i'm missing something i guess.I tried different bios files too still no dice.
