    Snes9x Loading

I have been having a problem loading my save states on Snes9xgx.

i am running 4.1.8 and i open up the menu and choose to save the sram and it says save complete, but when i load the sram file it just resets the rom?

    Any help would be great

I think you are confusing the difference between a save state and and an sram file. An sram file is a copy of the onboard save feature of the particular game you are playing. so for instance if you load up super matroid play to the first save point. use the in-game save point then make an sram save you will find that when you load your sram file you will still have to "Load" your save file from within the game. Since snes9xgx creates, saves and loads sram files automatically it thinks your are choosing a new sram file for the game you are playing and resetting the rom with your sram file in memory. You can then choose load and load your game as normal. A save state on the other hand is an exact dump of the console Virtual memory allowing you to save the state of any game even if it did not originally have a save feature. Example making a save state in street fighter ii right before you fight M bison. You can still use save states in games that have a save feature anyway of course. for instance lets say you load up final fantasy 2/4 load your save file in game play for two hours then want to save before a tough fight you could just make a new save "state." Sorry for the long response, hope this helps.

When I start the same Snes9x from the apps (SD or USB) from HBC, that works fine. Working with 4.1.5
Remember the zip for snes9x channel will have different versions of the app in it depending on what type of media you are using you have to pick the right one.
