Question question about how to setup emulators with my usb hdd

    Ok,
So I have my nes and snes emulators working on my softmodded wii via homebrew channel on my 2gb sd card. I play my wii games from a usb hard drive. (I have also created a fat32 and a ntfs partition on it).

My question is can I just put the roms on the fat32 partition and do I need to use a certain file structure like on the sd card. Can I Put the all the emulators and all the games on the fat32 partition without even using the sd card? If so How do I load them from there and what file structure do I need to use. Thanks for the help in advance if anyone can throw me a quick tutorial (im sure its easy) I just cant find it anywhere on these forums.

hmm from what I know, in the HBC, you can load things up from a jump drive, I have done it from a 4 gig usb drive I got at staples formated to fat32, so I would think if the wads where on a fat32 partition on the same hard drive you have your wbfs for your iso's I don't think it would be an issue. I plan on testing this tonight at home [currently at work shhhhhh]

I was able to load roms from a USB drive ... i have a TB external .. i've formated several hundred GB for wii games, but i also made a smaller FAT32 partion where i stored all my ROMs ...

once in the emulator i was able to simply browse to the HD and find the folder with the roms in it ..

hi, did you run the emulator from the usb HDD as well or did you load the emulator from the SD or a channel and then the rom from the HDD? Also is there a tut here somewhere for how to load the emulators. I have searched but can't find anything.

I'm still loading the emulators from the SD card / Channels, but the ROMS themselves can be loaded from the USB drive ...

I would like to know how to make everything work strictly from the HD though ...

i've been searching and havent found any specific tutorials yet ..

Is there a good tut for loading the emu from the SD? I can't seem to find anything easy to follow on that either.
