Question Problem with loading roms from USB!

When I load my nes/snes/gba emulators from the HBC I can load roms from my hdd no problem, but when I use forwarder channels to run the emulators I get a "USB drive not found!" error.

I don't mind running everything from the HBC, but I would rather be able to start the emulators from channels. I've been searching for hours and haven't found a solution. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ha, i have the same problem, and hours on end looking for anything, launching the emu from a forwarder, will launch the emu, but the emu like snes9x gx will say that usb drive not found error, and you get a list of places to try loading from, if you pick usb, it just gives same error.

would really like to use the fowarders, and launch from the channels, although hbc does work.

I think i read somewhere this happens because the forwarder doesn't load from directory? or doesn't load the settings.xml file, that is why? but i'm not sure if that is correct, anyways, does anybody have emu working off a usb drive, with a forwarder?

    ie. no sd card.

Same here...what gives? I take it something the forwader is doing keeps the emu from reconizing a usb drive.

How and where do you install your roms on your hard drive? Are you meaning memory card SD? I thought only ISO's can go on a hard drive?

I have a usb hard drive 160GB that I use with uLoader and a 8GB jumpdrive that I have all my roms on and is used with emulation. Both are plugged into the back of the Wii. I turn on the hard drive when I need to play discs, and it's off when I play emulation and roms.

I used zombies forwarders. None of the forwarded emulators could locate the 8 GB jump drive. However if I use homebrew channel to load emulators, no problems at all.

I figured it out a while a go. It's a problem with the forwarders. The emulators have been compiled differently and the forwarders have yet to be updated to reflect this.

I have since moved to an 8gb sdhc card and placed all my stuff on it. I still run my Wii games off my usb drive fine, and yes, I did realize that it will only work from the bottom port. Thank you, though.

I would suggest what I did and upgrade to at least 4.0 (I'm 4.2), get yourself a sdhc card (8gb is bare minium, mine is 3/4 full) and place your roms on it, sorted to each emulators folder. It works really nice and freed up my jumpdrive for more important endevours...movies!!
