    re Coleco

    Hello,

I'm a newbie here and a big fan of old coleco games. I've even gotten some of the hardcore gamers to get interested in the older Coleco games.

I have the Coleco emulator (Colem) set up on my Homebrowser, but I cannot find any Roms. Is there a site or a link for these roms?

    Thanks

I tried to build the Colem emu with the roms and the Bios. It coinfused the heck out of me. What is what and where what goes. Someone here would need to layout a pictorial on this.

    Edited piracy link

Just click on download and then retro. They have pretty much all the games! However I still can't get them to work on the Wii either. But they will work on your PC no problem. I use BLUEMSX to play and it works like a charm.

So I, for the life of me can not figure this one out. I remember as a little kid playing mousetrap, ladybug, smurfs, etc. We even had an ATARI adapter so we could play the ATARI games too! I am no stranger to emulators and ROMs but this one has me stumped. The instructions in the readme file are not helpful. I have installed the emulator and it seems to load fine. I also installed several ROMs in the specified location. I can see them when the emulator loads. I am, however, unsure what the "coleco.rom" should be. Is it the complete zip file of the emulator? Do you just change the "zip" to "rom"? Is it just the "colem" part renamed "coleco.rom"? None of these seem to work. I open the emulator from the HBC and it has a pic of the old school console and my list of ROMs. I can scroll through the ROMs but when I select one( Press the #2 button) the screen goes to a black with blue border and the console freezes up. I have to physically reset the console. It will not respond to the wiimote. I know it is not a ROM issue because it does this with ALL the ROMs. Any help would be awesome! TIA

I've pretty much given up on this. However you can play it on your PC with no problem. Only draw back is only your keyboard will work for the games.

Here a link for the games. But you have to rename the end from .col to .rom and they will load up. Also follow how to place them on the sd card

    re coleco

Thanks guys I got it to work!!!!

I stayed up the other night playing a whole bunch of my favs.

Basically download the file that alizone provided.

Coleco ColecoVision ROMS (V2.01) (download torrent) - TPB

    uninstall.

rename the files from zip. to .rom including the Colecovision file.zip

copy the Coleco folder to the apps including boot.dol , read me, icon and another file.

On the root of the SD card make a new folder labelled Roms, and place your Coleco roms in there. My mistake was that I was placing the Roms within the Apps folder and it wouldn't recognize them.

I've been using the gamecube remote. I don't think it will work with the wii remote.

press the bottom right hand button on the game cube to get the skill level / players menu.

you select and press the green button and voila.

    hope this makes some sense.

I will pust a post up with games and emu and all files.

    Check the section emulators.

All you must do is unzip and put on your sd card.

Works perfect on mine 3.2e using rev17.
