WII ZAPPER Not working IN NES FCE Emulator?

    Hey Guys,
I got a new zapper for the wii (the one where you put in the controller and nunchuck). I tested it and it works fine.

When I load up NES emulator, I go to control settings, set it all up and buttons.. however in duck hunt. I can move the cross hair and I see it.. but it will not shoot? I have double checked settings and seems well? Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Jim

the Wii Zapper and the NES Zapper are two different devices that work in two different ways. I double that a game that uses the NES Zapper can be properly emulated without significant gameplay changes done through the emulator.

    Hey,,
I have tired the regular wii remote, and it won't let me use B.?

So the problem is not the Zapper, but the emulator itself. Did you try checking the control settings for something different. I remember playing some Zapper games with FCEUGX with no issues whatsoever, but it's been some time. I do remember having to change some of the settings, though.

I will double check when I have a moment. But for some reason the emulator will NOT let me use button B? I have changed the configs... still not working. And yes the remote works. I will try again and see.

Does B work with other games? Could still have to do with the NES Zapper issue llaffer's mentioned.

My guess is that it probably doesn't, since it is a NES emulator, it would be using "1" and "2" to emulate the NES's "A" and "B" buttons.

    Hey
Ok I solved it! your right. When I had wiimote set for controller they were set to 1 and 2. Tried switching one of them to B and it worked.

So I turned on duck hunt, tried default zapper and it worked just fine now.. weird.

On a bit of a side note, is there a way to configure the wii zapper so the aim is better? I find the cross hairs do not line up where I point?

Also, what is needed to add game genie support?

    Thanks all for you help!

For Game Genie support you've gotta have a Game Genie ROM.
