Us Genplus GX and Hugo GX Graphical Issues

Hi. I'm having an issue with the Genplus GX and Hugo GX emulators. This is kind of difficult to explain. When I choose a rom and the game starts, the emulators main screen is faded into the background. One the gameplay actually starts and I make the character start walking, the background image goes away and only the game is shown. When I release the d-pad(or any other button I may be pushing to create a response), the faded background returns. I have over 15 system emulators on my wii and these are the only two with these issues, which I find particulary interesting because they are both developed by the same person, eke-eke. Anyway, anyone ever seen anything like this or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried playing with the video settings in the emulators settings menus? Sometimes you need to do that or the emulator won't display correctly, this happened to my friend, when I modded their Wii GenPlusGX only loaded to a black screen....it ended up being as simple as they weren't using component cables but the emulator was set to display in Progressive 480p.

So, my advice is play with the video settings a little and see what works for you.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Your the man! I have a samsung smart tv. I started with changing the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9, and changing (I forget the name of the setting) from standard to progressive. This was done in the emulator settings...fixed my problem!! Thanks man!
