I don't know, my guess is your HD, 3.0 HD's are renound for having issues hence why it would be good to test out a USB stick to rule it in or out of the equation.

Even USB 3.0 drives shouldn't have that issue, and every other program runs just fine on my USB HDD. Dborth (Snes9xGx maintainer) has the same drive as me and he told me never has that issue.

What are you talking about? I thought I said that I don't have a USB stick that I can try, but I would if I had one. I bought an HDD that is listed as compatible, but like was said, not everything is going to work perfectly, and that's something I must understand.

I need to apologize for pissing you guys off.

This is the HDD I use http://tinyurl.com/75f2t3d This is the USB device list - (search for Model WDBACY5000ABK-EESN) - http://tinyurl.com/7m2tbwy

I guess I had the wrong expectations, not to mention that I'm extremely baffled at the whole thing, thus giving me the impression that I'm the only one who had this particular issue.

    1. Post A Sys Check (if you dont know how - SEARCH)
    2. What guide did you use to hack the wii?
    3. How long ago did you hack the wii?
    4. What Versions are you using for the apps that you are having issues with?
    5. I would like screen shots of your hard Drive hierarchy!
    6. Then we WILL SEE WHAT UP, but until we have all those things we will not have an answer!

Right now, I can answer some of these off the top of my heard, the ones I don't remember I'll answer when I get off of work in a few hours

2 - Used the guide from Team Twiizers' website back in early 2008 when the Twilight Hack was prominent, on System Menu 3.2
3 - Back in early 2008, before I installed the Homebrew Channel; I only had the 1.43-based Snes9xGx which was launched via SD card
    4 - App Versions:

    GenplusGX 1.6.0 - perfect/stable
USB Loader GX (any version) - perfect/stable
    FceuGX 3.2.9 - perfect/stable
    VBAGX 2.2.5 - perfect/stable
    Descent (port) - perfect/stable
ScummVM Wii (any version) - perfect/stable
    ModMii - perfect/stable
SysCheck - perfect (will post dumped report later)
ShowMiiWads - Stable, used to install emulator forwarders
    BootMii 1.4 - perfect/stable
Priiloader 0.7 - perfect/stable, used to disable mandatory system updates from games and internet, and to disable region locking
Snes9xGx 4.2.X - unstable/random lockups, possible DSI code or blank screen
WiiMC 1.2.X - unstable/loud buzzing noise during random lockups

As you can see, most of these programs work fine, it's just the bottom two are the ones giving me trouble. As far as the hierarchy goes, it should be properly set up, but I will post a screenshot today.

This is the info I can provide right now; will update later today, that I promise.

EDIT 10:12 AM ---> I have long since updated all my HBC, Priiloader, etc hacks with ModMii

    What are you talking about?
I am talking about this - try a usb stick

within 5 minutes of me posting u posted u don't have one then went on to inform me that it is of no consequence as the hd should work anyway

    ring any bells?

If u were that hell bent on getting it to work and helping yourself i'm sure u know half a dozen people u could loan a usb stick off for 1/2 an hour (i do, or maybe that is just me) it would save a load of hassle as if it worked we would definitively know the hd was at fault, and that after all was my point

Yikes! I forgot to mention I've updated ALL my hacks with ModMii (HBC is the most recent version) All CIOSes are up to date! D'oh!

I put the "X" to indicate that all versions with "4.2.1, 4.2.2, etc" don't work. Even 4.2.9 crashes. Again, I forgot to mention that ALL my hacks and apps are up to date!

Since you are unwilling to try a different drive, I think your best solution is going to be to get a USB Gecko and work with the author to debug. Using the crash information you can help the author make the program more reliable.
