Forwarders are channels that load .dols, the .dol file can be located on the sd card or a usb device

There are two different kinds of channels. One kind is a forwarder channel. It simply links to a .dol file on your sd or usb. The other kind of channel has all of the game data in it, like your mariokart64. These channels are much larger in size and take up a lot more space on your Wii consoles internal memory. Both kinds of channels can be in wad form and are installed the same way - the difference is in the contents. Make sense?

Clarification - A wad is something that is installed to your Wii console's internal memory. A .dol file has all the app data in it, and can be launched from the Homebrew Channel or a forwarder channel.

You have to search for the dol files that you need. When you put them on your sd or usb the path generally looks like this - SD or USB:\apps\(app name)\boot.dol
