SDL MAME 0.134u4 not booting, HELP

Mame was running beautifully on the Wii, but upon firing it up after a while of inactivity, it no longer boots up! Everytime I try and start it up, it just resets back to the Homebrew Channel. I'm thinking it could be because of a recent cIOS update, but I haven't a clue. I'm running off of USB, btw.

That is weird. Have you recently update your HBC? Do you have a WiFi connection? There is a known issue with some of the older emulators where the user has updated to the most recent HBC and doesn't have a WiFi connection.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, I have updated to the latest version of the HBC and I do indeed have a WiFi connection. Out of all the emulators, this seems to be the only one no longer working -- it's a damn shame, I wanted to play some good 'ol Simpsons arcade.

Well, looks like it was the update to HBC 1.0.8 that screwed up my MAME emulator -- I've reverted back to 1.0.5 and it now boots up just fine.

After reverting back to HBC 1.0.5, I soon decided to go back to 1.0.8 (because of the HBC update alert constantly popping up) -- it also just felt weird not being on the latest rev. Of course, since switching back to HBCv.08, MAME no longer boots up again. I tried my luck at reinstalling the HBC with IOS 58 v6176 (was previously on IOS 61); it's great that there's now USB2.0 functionality and quicker loads, but still no luck with MAME properly booting up. I've tried replacing the boot file and restoring the default config files in the MAME folder; I even tried re-downloading the MAME emulator via the Homebrew Browser - but still nothing. I'm usually one to figure things out, but this is just a head-scratcher and frankly, it's starting to piss me off
