    Wii64 - Nintendo 64 emulator for Wii

Port of Mupen64 for the Gamecube/Wii

    Download - wii64 beta1.1.zip
Source - mupen64gc - Project Hosting on Google Code

Do not ask where to get roms or you will find yourself in the Reading Room

Wii64 is a Nintendo 64 emulator for the Nintendo Gamecube & Wii brought to you by the Wii64Team (emu_kidid, sepp256, tehpola).

Port of the popular multi-OS N64 emulator, Mupen64, to the Nintendo Gamecube and Wii through the libOGC library. The emulator currently uses dynamic recompilation of the N64 machine code to PowerPC (the Gamecube/Wii's ISA) and full hardware accelerated graphics to achieve (near) full-speed emulation in most instances.

    -----------------------------------------

    Installation

    For SD/USB
    • Extract the contents of wii64-beta1.zip to the root of your SD card/USB
    • Put ROMs in the directory named /wii64/roms (All save types will automatically be placed in /wii64/saves)

    For DVD
    • ROMs may be anywhere on the disc

    Usage
    • ROMs can be z64 (big-endian) or v64 (little endian), or .n64, of any size
    • Load the executable from the HBC or in the loader of your choice
    • Once loaded, select 'Load ROM'
    • Choose the source (SD/USB/DVD)
    • Select the ROM to load (Note: to go up a directory select '..', B will exit the file browser)
    • Select 'Play Game' to play

If you are having problems loading the roms from a USB device then try using usb port 1, that is the usb port closest to the center of the Wii, and unplug the usb storage device from usb port 0. If you have a forwarder with AHBPROT support then unplugging the usb device from usb port 0 is not necessary. I have tested and found that the roms will not load from usb port 0.

I've got this emulator on my Wii. It currently shows in the Homebrew channel when I load Homebrew. But, I want to have it as a channel on my wii Menu. How can I do this?

I have the SNES as a channel on my Wii Menu; but I got that option through Homebrew Browser. I checked and could find no such options for the Nintendo64 Emulator.

    How can I do this?

You can make a channel for it with CustomizeMii. Take a look at THIS GUIDE. A word of caution though - be very careful with this. If you don't get it right you can brick your Wii. Read, read, and reread before you attempt it.

And be aware, CustomizeMii has been updated since that guide. Go forth and find the updated version while following that guide.

I have a N64 emulator run on a modded wii with the SD card.
But when i try to run from the HD - the system would not recognize the USB port.
The back ups work fine from the HD.

Is there some kind of a guide for this?

    Thanks.

If you still have problems try this version: http://www.wiihacks.com/emulators/10...-channels.html

Its an upgraded version of wii64 with better USB 2.0 support and fixed my problem right away!
