    DVD backup problem... help

Hello guys. I have 2 Wii units one white and an exotic red console. My menu is 4.3u and by checking on wiidrives I determined that both are GC2-D2C (v1). I am able to load a backup iso burned to a dvd-r of my retail version of Spiderman on the white unit using Neogamma r9 b52, but I cannot get it to work on the red unit. It keeps saying "Drive too new for DVD-R's. Is there any way to get my red unit working since it has a GC2-D2C (v1) drive? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your fast reply. It definately is a genuine red unit. Just out of curiosity, why won't the red unit work when the white one does? Both serial numbers state that I have the GC2-D2C (v1) in it.
