Exclamation problem with wii ntsc semi brick disk. cant find answer

ok. so apparantly the wii music disk i downloaded in PAL had a update i forgot to remove. i did change it to ntsc format though. i used WiU to do it. gave it to my girlfriend to try it and she ran the update. now my system setting menu is the opera thing. semi bricked. so i downloaded the fix disk and every copy i burn says a error when i pop it in the wii. not specifically a disk error, just ooes to a black screen and says some other error and i should remove just and restart wii. i have disabled the uppdate blocking in the starfall settings and my wiikey2 settings. any one else come across this problem? or is there a newer update disk that i can download and update it back to my region? i am not sure which update wii music has.

You can try running Animal Crossing. I beleive that has a firmware higher than Wii Music.

ok, i will do the animal crossing and try that out. i could not play wii music before with a friends copy with my wii because he had removed the update and mine always did the blank screen crap. from now on, will i have to always find the ios wad a game requires to play newer games or should the removing the updates from ths ISO file always make them work? been getting alot more blank screens lately on a games including need for speed undercover that i just burned off about ten min ago.

Its because the newer firmware has all the needed ios in that update, When you downgrade back to 3.2, You have to manually install some of them ios and some cios yourself to allow the games to work under 3.2

I definitely think your 1st priority would be to undo that semi-brick, Worry about the other stuff later

    same situation

I have the same exact situation, (PAL Wii Music update by accident gave a semi-bricked state)... On the advice of a friend, I tried the USA Animal Crossing firmware update, but after applying that, I was still unable to get into my settings. I burned a "repad" fix disk, but upon inserting it, I either get a disk error message or a system error message, telling me to restart and see my Nintendo manual, blah blah. Is there a newer version of the fix disk that I need to run? Shouldn't the NTSC Animal Crossing firmware update have fixed the earlier Wii Music issue? Appreciate the advice.
