i do have a small question: i burned a backup copy of Deadly Creatures today - from the ISO - and tried to run it through Backup Launcher Gamma. but that gave me an error, "DVD read error (324)".

did i do something wrong during the burn process?

the 324 error is VERY common so i'm sure if you search around you'll find the answer.

worst case scenario is that you'll find a load of unresolved threads regarding the 324 error though...

    good luck

This is the one thing that I find annoy about this board. I've spent HOURS searching for questions to be answered, only to find someone say "search for the answer". If you know the answer, then just state it.

And people have spent HOURS writing tutorials and guides........... just for some lazy person to ask the same question over and over

From what I've read, DVD Read Error 324 is a bad media error, so try using a different type of media and slow the burn speed down.

I (99% of the time) use Imation -R media and have NEVER (knock on wood) had a failure when burning at 4X speed.

The other 1% I use Memorex DVD +RW to test first. I find them to be the only rewritable media that the Wii likes. (at 2.4X burn speed).

Ok, so obviously someone editted my post.

But anyway, you don't need to keep writing the same answer over and over again. you could just provide a link to the answer. Ie something along the lines of:

Please see this post here (link).

It would be much more helpful then basically replying "we know the answer but find it yourself."

I'd rather have no comment then something like that.

1st thing........ we DO keep writing the same answer over & over again but it wears thin after a while especially as the answer is often in the guides & tutorial section.

2nd thing.......... It's YOUR Wii....... MY Wii works, so YES ...I expect you to look for the answer to YOUR problem especially when given a location to look in

3rd thing.... I expect to see YOU tracking every question posted from now on and giving the relevant post to look at for the answer............ thank you for volunteering to help
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

    1) Well on the other boards that I'm on I do keep writing the same answer, over, and over and over again. When I get bored of that then I just don't give an answer.

    2) My wii works too. I'm only here trying to help people. I don't think that I've asked any questions here because as stated I've searched for hours looking for answers before I post. IF people provided a link to a specific Tutorial, then the person should have no issue with looking through it. Then if the person couldn't find the answer by all means reply that it is right there and look harder.

    3) If I was a mod, or I could actually find the right Tutorial to begin with, I'd gladly have the different tutorials book marked for easy access so I could say "hey look here (link)". But right now, I'm new to this site and don't know where anything is yet. So right now I'm just answering things that are asked (that I'm interested in reading) with the answers I've found. If the topic is of no interest to me, then I simply ignore it. I don't reply "keep looking". Really isn't the "reply" button an option to use. If you are not going to provide a constructive reply, then there is no reason to reply.

You do not need to be a Moderator to use the search box or the guides and tutorials section.
A lot of people are happy to be nudged in the right direction of where to find the answers....... just don't expect to be spoon fed.

Final comment....... If your not happy either donate to help with the running of the site OR join in with the MK tourney and get priority attention

if only more punters where like you. instead of the usual lazy post first because they can't be bothered to read anything, then when they have been told exactly what they need just hit and run without a thank you nor kiss my arse

hang around the site for a bit and it wont take long to see my point unfortunately

Why are you reading this? its always the same!!
