With IMGBURN DUMPING IS POSSIBLE WITH ANY DRIVE

    Hi Guys,

First message in this forum, have learnt a lot from you. I m still trying to get my backup games running properly via USB.

What I learnt from other forums and tryed, is to create the ISO image from the wii CD with imgburn.

I dont have a LG drive, however I was able to get an ISO from a Wii CD and then load it in my USB.

Thatīs it. Hope I could contribute a little.

    LG drives available from geeks.com

I know that the few drives suitable for dumping Wii discs can be difficult to find, and potentially pricey if you get into a bidding war for one on ebay.

Computer Geeks has recently received a stock of GDR-8162B and GDR-8163B refurbished drives they're selling for $11.99 + shipping

    LG GDR-8163B 16x DVD-ROM IDE Drive (Black) LG GDR-8163B
    LG GDR-8162B 16x DVD-ROM IDE Drive (Black) LG GDR-8162B

I do not work for them, but since I live in their back yard - I end up being one of their better customers.
    ;-)

Thanks for all your help! I was able to get my first game to run on my softmod wii for the first time ever. This is the first console I have ever modded and it was a smooth experience! (Thanks have been given. )

    Hello, guys.
Following this guide and mantis00's , I managed to burn several backups on a TSST corp CDDVDW SH-S202J drive using Verbatim DVD-R discs.
Everything worked flawless. All the backups working. Loaded w/ Neogamma R8 and tested.
Thank you very much! (I tried first on a LG GH22 NS50 drive but that didn't worked)

Grecian, is the LG drive the right model ? it's not All LG models that work. If you have the right model LG drive, then there might be something i can tell you to do with rawdump that worked for me after not working the first few times.

I am assuming you downloaded a scrubbed version of the game or whatever. They will be in zip or rar file format. Youll need winrar to extract the files. Simply double click one of the rar files and it will open up inside winrar. Click extract to and extract it onto your desktop. Sit back and let it do its thing. Once finished, you should have an iso image file on your desktop.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.
