Just wanted to drop in and say that this method works PERFECTLY. I modded my Wii this past weekend with [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]tutorial (which is awesome and worked perfectly by the way!) and just tried my first burnt disc this evening.

I burned Zelda Twilight Princess on HP DVD+R's with the Imgburn program at 2x and they play perfectly. I haven't tried the USB backup loader but I did just order an enclosure for an old 200 GB IDE drive which I plan to hook up to the Wii for that purpose.

Thanks again for making these tutorials, this site is awesome!

What do you mean by recording at the lowest speed possible? Is the speed specific to the DVD disc? For example, my disc has Write Speeds: 4.0x, 6.0x, 8.0x and Read Speeds: 2.0x, 4.0x, 6.0x, 8.0x, 12.0x, 16.0x. Should I still burn it at 1.0x with imgburn even though 1.0x is not shown on my disc?
