I've read every post on this thread and believe or not I'm still confused.

1. Do I need one of them LG drives to burn the game or just dump it. Or does will any burner work? (I have Emprex)

2. I downloaded Madden 09 Pal iso and burnt it using nero on a Memorex DVD-R at 2X speed.

I put it in the Wii (which is 3.2E HBC installed and Softmii installed) and it recognised the game on the main menu, started it up and it gets to loading screen (in the actual game) and then I get an error saying Disk read error...

What did I do wrong?
CD? Burner? Wii? Maybe ISO?
you need one of those lg models to read and dump the games only. you can burn them with any burner, besides all those lg models are dvd-roms only they will not burn dvds. as for your madden not working i have no experience with flatmii so i cant help you. go check out the wii hacking forums here for information pertaining to that.

Smile USB Loader.

Why not install USB Loader 1.5 and ripp files to disk?

Really simple. And Not as time consuming as ripping over wifi, or via one of those dvd-rom drives.

Since all the garbage in the disc is simply ignored when ripping.
And not written to the WBFS Partition.

But if you connect the drive to your computer, and export ISO the image will be correct size for burning to another disc.

USB Loader reads both original and backup games

Us DVD+R Discs

I dont know about you guys, but I have burned 15 Wii games on DVD+R discs mostly because I did not know any better, I just found out that DVD-R was the right format. Needless to say, They ALL work great.

PS. They all play online as well....ie...Tiger Woods 2010

3.2U, modded Firmware preloader, region free Wii, WiiConnect24 OFF

hi. n00b here... so i just wanna apologize in advance for any stupid questions that i ask.

but i just wanna know... what's the point in "dumping"? i just recently softmodded my wii and im currently downloading a game right now test it to see if i modded it correctly.. but i just want to prepare before the game finishes dling. anyway... i also dled a bootloader(neogamma) for hbc as i was told i needed that to play burnt games. so.. my other question is.. how/what is the proper way to burn the game? i thought it was just.. dl the game.. burn it onto a dvd-r.. and bam! u can play it on the wii. i read the first page tutorial but i cant say that i fully understand it . can someone enlighten me?
