You don't need an LG Drive to read BACKUP Discs on a computer. As long as it can read a disc, it'll work. Just not retail Wii Discs.

OK you learn something new every day. Ive only ever used hdd so never ventured into that ground. I can confirm working op.
Thanks to all of you , I used wii backup manager to transfer from backup discs to USB HDD successfully.
If your drive is supposed to read DVD's and it doesn't read those two games, they are almost certainly corrupt. You're black Wii will not read the disks because of the newer drive. You're going to need the originals.Originally Posted by Becca Candia
