    Ca Mario sports mix

I am trying to play my backup of Mario Sports Mix and I tried it to see if it would work, but it did not. I used wiinja 2.0 to dump the game, and wbfs manager 3.0 to back up the game onto a 4g.b s.d card. I am using an sd card to playback my copy. When I run Neogamma R7 IOS 249 rev (14), it mounts the game and tries to load it, but it says "connection to wbfs lost" and it won't load the game. I am sure there are many other people having the very same problem. So what's the issue? Did Nintendo also put an extra copy protection feature on this game also? Does anyone know if this game needs to be specially patched just like New SMB? Thanks a lot in advanced.

315 views and no answer.. and also some time passed, hope you already got it sorted.
I have no exact answer at all myself but just want to point out that you are maybe kind of behind times. There is a Neogamma R8, waninkokos cIOS 249 can be rev21. Just saying you should update at least to rev17 and if needed try rev20 or 21, see the wanin and hermes cIOS as wads (link in my sig).
Don't think there was something special on that game. Good luck

    Ca Thanks vinatec

Thanks vinatec, I don't know how to do all of that stuff, updating to rev17 and all that other stuff. i would be happy to try all of those things if: 1) It won't cause my wii to be bricked and 2) If I had a good tutorial which could review me how to do it. I remember hacking my wii, but it was very difficult for me, because I am not very good at hacking the wii. So I would be very afraid of doing any further messing arround with it...
Thanks so much for replying to my post.

By the way, if anyone out there needs a NAND back up for their wii, just message me, and I would be happy to send it to you or I upload it on the site (if you can tell me where to upload it.)

Ca robgee789 Wii NAND is only good for my Wii Why is that?

    Dear robgee 789,
Thanks for telling me that, that is interesting. why would someone else's NAND be no good for someone else's bricked Wii? I would be very interested to know exactly why that wouldn't work... And also how come sometimes some games to back upmay only work once, but when people try to load them again they won't work.

So you are saying that I need to update my cios249??? CAN I use any WAD manager to update my cios??? Exactly what are the reasons why would I want to update my cios 249???

Is Nintendo the only system that can be hacked? Are X Box 360 and PS3 hackable? sorry I know that is off of the subject, but I really would like to know that too.

The Wii is an infinitely inferior system to the PS3 and perhaps the X Box 360, both physically, and politically. Although I always thought the PS was always better than the X Box, I think that the X Box buttons and controller are way to bulky for comfort.

I only bought the wii for wii for Zelda, but Zelda for wii, but Zelda for wii turned out to be a huge disappointment. But then that meant I only got real joy out of hacking the wii. If it weren't for me hacking the wii, and Capcom vs. Tatsonoku (which is not a great game but still better than Marvel vs. Capcom 3) I wouldn't get much enjoyment out of the wii at all.
The new Zelda for wii looks like it might be just a little better than Twilight Princess, but then again we have to wait so long for it to come out, and no game is worth all that wait. Besides, by the looks of it, it does not look like it will be as nearly as innovative or exciting as Zelda 64.

Does anyone else here agree with me???

Sorry I did get a little off subject, but heck I know a lot of people are reading this, and I thought that it would be cool to get my feelings out there expressed.

the nand will only work with your wii because has codes in it that match your wii, im not an expert with nands but but i know its good to keep yours safe, updating cios249 will give you better performace and compatibility with newer games and i recomend wad 1.7, and xbox and ps3 can be hacked

okay, I just updated the cios 249. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Wa-hoo! So what are going to be the new benefits of having this new cios249 installed? Are there any other new cios's that I should be installing? Thanks a lot. This site is very educational and informative! There is another guy I think on this site that also couldn't get his copy of mario sports mix to work as well. oh well... Thanks for everything.

Sys check for what? Why do a sys check? I don't see the link to where to do a sys check. Each wii has its own unique coding on NAND? Wow I did not know that. I have got to get myself a PS3, since that can be hacked, and I like PS3 games. So the back up of mario sports mix didn't work because I didn't have the updated version of cios249 installed? Thanks for all the help.

the link to syscheck was in his post recheck that "here".
The softmod any wii guide would be a very good choice to set your wii up properly.
If you only want to update that cIOS see robgees posts.
You can also try a different loader to backup your games. cfg usbloader would be a nice choice. Please see the intro section and the welcome messages for the most useful links around.
