    wirless transfer

not sure what category to put this under so i thought this looked like a good one to try.
I was wandering if there was any way / program that could be used to transfer gamebackups from the pc to the usb hdd on my wii via the wifi connection so i dont have to keep unplugging my hdd from the wii and taking back to the pc then back to the wii, and like wise, transfer the files to the sd card from the pc as well. pc is in a diffrent room and sometimes it gets pretty annoying running back and forth from room to room. i guess what i am looking for is some type of wirless home network connection between wii and windows 7 so i can use the wii backup manager and just select the wii as the folder to transfer to over the network, and be able to brows and transfer my sd card with explorer from the pc

Take a look at http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...pii-guide.html If you want to dump that way though, it would probably much faster to unplug and take it to your computer as from what ive heard, it takes a few hours per game.

hey, downloaed wiiExplorer ............ works like a charm ........... a windows style interface, and a built in ftp client ........ can access sd card, usb hdd, hell even access the dvd in the wii dvd drive. can copy any thing from the wii or to the wii ......... first time i used it would let me delete things off the sd card from the pc but ever since it keeps giving me an error saying i dont have proper permissions or somthing. so some how its read only, but must be a way to change that since it let me the first time. anyway, pertty happy with it. have not ried any insainly large files yet but transfer seems to be decent speed. if anyone else was looking for a way to transfer files back and forth from wii to pc on sys menu 4.3 this is what you need. its on the homebew browser downloads

WiiExplorer is great but if you are transferring large files like games over the network, it takes forever!! I suppose if you have the time and don't mind leaving it running then this is for you.

mostly wanted it for smaller files .... adding and removing roms for emulators, apps on the sd card. got a 3 year old running around the house that wont keep hands off stuff so the wii is hid behind a bunch of stuff to keep little fingers off it. was just getting annoying moving everything out of the way every time i wanted to pull the sd card.
