i would guess you are dumping the data onto a FAT32 drive, which has a 2gb cap, because of the way the filesystem works.

so i would suggest dumping onto a ntfs or ext3 formatted drive, where the 2gb file size limit does not apply

Actually Fat cap is 2gb, Fat32 is 4gb, but that not the problem, all my drives NTFS. Tried a few more times, same result, download ends at 2GB. I'm thinking it's some registry entry in windows that needs to be changed, cannot find anything on PC forums as HTTP is not a popular way for PC to download.
Any suggestions, anyone? Thanks for the help

yes, tried that too, also quits at 2GB, that why I'm thinking it's a windows issue....let me know if you think of anything, I'm out of ideas (BTW, already tried increasing windows cache size)

    Thanks

    right click on "my Computer"
    select "properties"
    select "advanced"
click on "settings" in "performance" section
    select "advanced"
select "change" in "virtual memory" section

Let me know how it works out, but it didn't fix my problem

how about booting a live linux distro such as Ubuntu Home Page | Ubuntu and dumping it using that operating system? That way you wont need to search endlessly for why windows is screwed up
