PAL games on NTSC wii system

i was wondering if there was a way to use some kind of region free software that would allow me to play a PAL backup on a NTSC system? i have seen something about letting someone with a PAL system use it to play NTSC on theirs but cant find it the other way. if someone knows please send me in the right direction.
thanks in advance for any help

    theres 3 ways

    3.2 or lower
you can buy a region free booter from datel

    any firmware
    homebrew channel
    Gecko OS

    modchip

any of those 3 work fine

With Gecko OS, you can't run backups.

ok sorry i wasnt clear, it is modded with a modchip, i have no clue which one since i bought it off someone this way, i do currently play back ups already i was just worried about doing it with a PAL disc. i just dont want to mess anything up. but right now i have alot of back ups i just always made sure there were NTSC but now i want some games that i can only find in PAL format.
p.s. also if someone could tell me how to find out what modchip i have in it without opening it just so i would know. and i have heard not to let it update. so i have some update blocker or something i use before i burn each game to make sure the system dont update.

you have to use brick blocker if you just put it in via disc channel, just do that befor burning

if you have 3.3 or higher you have to load via gecko OS, or use the modchip to block the update, since its not worthwhile to figure out if you can, just know it can be booted via disc channel like any other normal game, but dont update from it!

No, actually you can't run backups with gecko os without a chip. Don't get the wrong idea into people's minds.
