I also have 3.2u and XP And I have the same router as you. May be your wireless connection is dropping out briefly for some reason and causing this problem? Have you installed the latest firmware for the BFW11S4? I have the newest firmware on mine. Do you have broadcast SSID turned on in your wirless security settings? If not try that.

Good question. Would you dump to wifi or usb mass storage device. I tried an external hard drive but could only format fat32 and it did not work.

I have no idea what you are asking but you can buy a USB LAN adapter for the Wii and I wanted to know how to use DVD Dumper with a USB LAN adapter.

A usb lan adapter IS a wifi card. How ever if the wifi card inside your pc is causing your connection to drop or be unreliable, you should first update the drivers for it and see if that fixes things. If that does not fix it, then you may try another wifi/wireless card.

The USB network adapter for the wii would make it a LAN line to plug into the router. The question would be if we did that when we run DVD Dumper and it asks "sd/usb mass storage" or hit the arrow key on the wiimote for "wifi connection" which would we choose?

    Just a note:
I had the same problem with DVD Dumper 1.2. I didnt realize that I had stand by turned on with my pc. I can recommend that you check your pc settings, and make sure that your hard drive is not set to shut down, and that you dont have stand by turned on. Hope that helps. If you have the appropriate IOS, and the program is running, then I wouldnt suspect that the Wii was shutting itself down, or going into stand by, so I would assume that its your pc. Again, just check your pc settings. Let me know if that works for ya.

Edit: (directed at WIZRDEYE) you will still use wifi, because its going to go thru your network. Even though its technically not wireless, it will still be looking for some sort of network and an IP address through your router. So just select wifi, and it will look for an IP address from your router, and it will connect thru the router, whether its wifi or not.

I see what you mean now. And I'm not sure how to do it that way.

Yes thank you puertorico1985, you set up the fact that it is a LAN connection in the wii settings under internt, then choose wifi for the dump. I will order an adapter today. I am trying wifi one more time with wep security incase there was outside interferance.
