Did you copy the .bin files to an EMPTY folder on your PC first? eg: C:\Jeffsbin not sure if you're trying to run the command from your SD card is what they had in mind. Then open a command prompt and type CD C:\jeffsbin which would put you into that directory c:\jeffsbin\ which is where you would run the copy/b command. I think the key is to copy the files to an empty folder on your C:\ drive first.

I believe your problem is using the the named iso like you said. Try telling it to do this instead: copy /b RMGE01_0.bin + RMGE01_1.bin RMGE01.iso that might fix your problem but not 100% due to your being on XP but its worth a shot

Just saying this to let anyone know that may have been wondering like I was

    Long version:

    Spoiler

    Short version:
Soooooooo lol.....basically saying you dont need rev14 like the first post says...rev17 works great

Unless Im wrong somehow I think a mod should edit the first post and change that??

The main difference between Rev 14 and 17 is the latter supports dual layered discs and the former has "broken" dual layer implemented (meaning it won't work; other than that, no real world difference). This is Shadow's guide, but I'll ask him about it.

    Alright then fair enough :P

Either way I figured I should at least have my comment on the thread for anyone else maybe wondering if they needed to find rev14 and install it just so they could backup discs
    Thanks!

SUPERDUMP WILL NOT WORK WITH CIOS REV16 (it's borked) OR REV18/+ (due to module changes).
Nothing about rev17 so should work but any other cIOS above will not work.

I use a homebrew app called dvddumper to dump them from my wii over wifi to my computer as i do not have a drive large enough and I will be burning the backups anyway.

It starts up and gives you a url to your wii that you put in your browser on your computer and it dumps it right to your computer. It takes several hours to do this so its not exactly fast but its a good alternative to those without large sd cards or hds attached.
