Post Why cant Wii Scrubber find the key.bin? Ive done this a million times, worked ONCE!

i used to download wii games/burn them all the time last year, now i am getting back into it but i have forgotten some key hings!! The issue i cant solve is: everytime i open wii scrubber, it says it cannot find the key.bin!! i have done everything, i downloaded key.bin makers, i downloaded every version of wii scruber (including the one that makes key.bin) and nothing is working and i have literally searched for hours online trying to find an answer, so dont tell me to google it!! I have given up and joined this forum just to ask this question thinking someone can help me. PLEASE HELP! Thanks

once again, it worked once before but i dont know how or why

    WiiScrubber140Multiboot.rar

Try this package. Use the makekeybin.exe. Make sure you type the value it tells you when you run it.
    Damn I suck!!!!

tried that package just now, it had the exact same message. I downloaded it, opened makekeybin, typed in 42, hit generate, exited, tried wiiscrubber.exe and the message came up: "unable to open key.bin"

I have NO IDEA what the hell i am doing wrong. i have now spent around 10 or 12 hours doing every single thing i possibly can to fix this, but im just a beginner at this stuff

I GOT IT!! Thanks for your help anyways, i really appreciate it. but i will post how it worked in case anyone else on the internet is reading this with my same problem. this is just my own guess of what i did to make it work: for some reason, the key makers do not work correctly when there were a lot of programs running and THATS what made everything screwed up. i know it doesnt make any sense to me either, but if anyone is having the same problem, try exiting out of ur internet programs, and everything else possible.. then just run the key maker, open wii scrubber, load the iso, open up a partition, extract the main.dol, then open generic wii patcher, find the 001 and 002 errors, remmove them if possible, save, go back to the wii scrubber, replace the old main.dol with the new one that the generic wii patcher made, then SCRUB!!!! Then burn the image to a DVD! the only reason i posted all that info is because i have never seen all of that information in one spot on the internet at all!!!

Probably because it isn't needed LOL. Anyways glad you figured it out.

No need to scrub a disk before you burn or remove 002 and 001 errors.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Depending on how your computer is set up, you may have to run as administrator.
