The Premium line of TY's 8x DVD-R made in singapore/japan are consistently very good... I know somethat only use those and have never really had a problem with DRE's etc.(they have many different grades it seems)

Also the verbatim 16xdvd-r seem to work great as long as they are not mage in certain countries...

when you have a pack of Verbatims that works great...look at the disc info....what do you see....manufactured usually by TY

There are other Variables involved....another big one is the type of DVD Burner one is using...whether it has the latest fw or not...
Then there is your wii...if the laser is adjusted within tolerances.

Then the pc and what was it doing when you were decompressing and even more so...when you were burning the iso to dvd....not a good idea to be burning and doing a screaming download at the same time.

then...what burning software were used and ...the settings....were they set up for the best results....

having said that...at times I have seen some that wouldn't read when everything was done perfectly......then almost always the DVD burner doesn't like the TY's......and then they burn on a cheapie dvd and it works great...lol

mind you the cheapie dvd works great at the beginning but won't be problem free a few months down the road ..cause the cheap dye used degrades quicker than usual.

so as spyman said...sometimes it's the burner...
