DVD R Help!!

The other day, I went to K-Mart and bought 25 Maxell DVD+R for 8 dollars. I also saw more expensive Sony and Memorex discs (5 discs for 10 dollars) When I returned home, I checked to see if +Rs would. The problem is that there are a lot of different responses. Some say that DVD+Rs will damage the Wii's laser, while others say that they will work fine. I was also wondering if changing the booking to DVD-Rom on ImgBurn would prevent the problem.

Should I get a refund and buy the more expensive disc. If no, should I change the booking on ImgBurn or should I burn the way it is?

I would appreciate any help.

I'd recommend you return the DVD+Rs and buy high quality DVD-R. Verbatim DVD-R are highly recommended. It is a fact that DVD+Rs stress out the Wii lasers which inevitably causes it to die early. You can read this for more information on DVD-R and DVD+R:
