Ca Game problem. Here is the scenario....

I have SSBB, the original and the copy I burned from the original.

    The original plays fine.

The burned one starts to play. But then it gives me the "...bad disk.." error.
Sometimes the error occurs right away, sometimes not until actually fighting.

Any thoughts on where the problem may lie ?

    PS- I'm using Wiikey 1.9s
    -burning at 2.4x
    using fuji DVR+R/DL 2.4x

It is dual layered so it is hard to burn I think, also try using Verbatim 4x with Alcohol 120%.

    Ok, I'm confused.

I'm starting to think that this is less of a science, and more of a trial and error kinda learning process.

I see people swearing that you have to use the layer break, and some people swearing that they did it fine without.

actually n1tro you are kinda wrong...wiikey systems don't use layerbreaks (DMS to D2B)
Only newer systems (D2C to D2E) uses the layer break. Fluid power buddy...don't use the layer break for your SSBB backup, as you have the wiikey in your wii, wiikey systems don't use the layerbreak. Just make sure that you just set the booktype of the disc and burn the game at 2x or lower.
Thanks everyone for the great support.

Did a very minor (10%) laser tweak on my Wii, also cleaned the lens.

    Didn't help.

Went to the store and bought Verbatim disks. Re-Burned. Works perfect now!!!!!

VERBATIM IS ALL IT IS CRACKED UP TO BE !!

no but if you did the tweak and the laser clean, and you try the verbatim discs and it played....you did a successful job.
