I misread your question, sorry about that. I was referring to dumping to a USB HDD with a USB Loader.

Somehow I doubt if a 21 hour dumping time is normal. Not many of us have ever used the older method of dumping games but still 21 hours is quite ridiculous.

    Is the disk scratched?

Even dumping at 1x DVD speed it would be done within a couple of hours I'd guess.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Yes. The easiest and fastest way is to rip your games to a USB HDD or USB Flash Drive. You can do this using most USB Loaders.

Quick google search gave me this...

A method has been found for dumping Wii game discs via PC. Unfortunately, the process takes approximately 50+ hours to dump an entire disc! You will need: An LG-8164b or LG-8163b DVD-ROM (or possibly even other Hitachi) drive, DVDInfo Pro (dvdinfopro.com - Home Page) and .NET Framework 2.0 installed on your PC. Remember, this process takes over two full days to dump a single disc so be patient if you plan to try it!

    Read more: http://www.ps3news.com/forums/wii-news/rawdump-wii-disc-dumper-released-49175.html#ixzz0m8o62XSr

The process I described ( you can read about it in the link in my signature " USB HDD Guide") will also allow you to backup your retail disks. Read the guide.

It involves a USB Loader and a USB device to rip the ISO to. You can then play the games off the hardrive or use WBFS manager to extract them to ISO's to your PC.

So the rawdump proccess takes A LOT longer then the USB dumping method.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Ok,now i understand. I do have the usb GX loader running on my wii,but i didn't know that the program could backup the games as well,I thought it was just for running your ISOs Think i wasted money on the GDR-8162B DVD ROM drive.? well it didnt break the back. Now backing up my copy of Mario Galaxy, with usb loader GX to my usb drive..
