    Scared to burn games

k guys know the basic. download iso burn slow speed iv been doing xbox 360 games for a while

the reason im scrared is what is all this talk about your wii getting semi bricked (and if that happens how will i know (like what is it) and is there a way to fix it if it were to ever happen)

from what i gathered this happens if you play a pal game on my ntsc console
    and something about updates

does it happen right away if you play wrong game

will this happen only if i try to play a burnt pal game what if i tried a retail pal game i know it wont work but does it brick your wii

It happens if a person updates the Wii from a game that is different region from the region of the Wii. So in your example if you had a NTSC-U (USA) Wii and tried top play a PAL game and it asks for update and you go ahead and update, it will semi-brick the wii. So what is recommended is that the Update is removed from the iso before burning it using something like wiu1.1.

k but what happen if a new update comes out i dont plan on using pal games on my wii just what if i downloaded one that said ntsc but the guy didnt post that is was converted like they try to purposely screw you

is there any program that can tell you like what the real region of the disc is like a program that isnt fooled if it was converted just so i can be safe

and what if i got fooled and say i patched it with wiu 1.1

and then another update came out what do you do then

all of those questions you just asked, Wiu have it right there for you so no need to be scared, Wiu is simple, it gives you all of the info on the ISO so you will see it you can either block the update or remove the update for you to play it with no problems.

Wiu1.1 will show (for example) something like "Patched PAL -> NTSC" if its been patched to be NTSC of game that was originally PAL.

Easiest way to tell if Wii is Semi-bricked is when you are unable to get to Wii System menu and you have duplicate channels.

If a Wii is bricked then its totally unoperateable, it will just not work or it will work just as good as a 'brick'
