Is it possible to launch modified games on Wii?

Hey, my friends and me are gonna make wii games translations to sell them. Nobody did it yet in Russia so we're gonna be first.
I think you know that I'm the best gamer in Russia.

And i'm interested - can I modify games and then launch 'em on Wii? For example I wanna translate a game on language which is not officially supported, can I mod game files and launch these games on Wii? Or there is some kind of protection?

If you are going to play backups or "modded" games you need a modchip, or the beta version of the leaked ISO loader. That loader though is rubbish, but there is no way to play burned games without a mod chip. You can homebrew and pay .roms and .wads. If you want to knonw what roms and wads are just ask. I am sure Dark Mod or Spyman can help you with finding a mod chip for you.

Well a brunt game will play, but I don't know if you could translate it. Look at Dark Mod or some the other more Mod people. My speciality is homebrew man.

dude....the guy is a programmer.......anything is possible as long as you are a programmer, then yes there is a possibility the language in games can be translated.
Thanks everyone for the great support.
Hope to hear from you soon, cause i'm getting ready to retire from the modding scene.

I'm not talking about translation now, i'm talking about possibility of launching game with modified files.
    Can you tell me please:

1). can i extract all files from image and then make a new image from files, will it work?
2). which tool can work with wii images?

    so tell please

well actually there are a few tools that can do it, but the problem is, it only show the update files, not the entire game files.
Thanks everyone for the great support.

    1) To obtain a Wii disc image, you either need a speciall LG DVD Rom drive (e.g. GDR08161b, GDR-8162b, GDR-8163b or GDR-8164b - there are couple more but can't remember model# right now) OR you can installed Homebrew channel and use DVD Dumper 1.2 to rip directly from Wii to PC via network/wifi OR use Gecko USB device.

    2) You could use the Trucha Tool to view (possibly modify) the files in the image. If this is not important now, you can skip this step.

    3) Once you have an image, you can burn it to DVD-R (preferrably Verbatim, Sony, TDK) using ImgBurn at 4x speed

    4) You will need a Modchip installed in your Wii to launch/play the backup burned games.

You can take a look at the following thread for the whole process
