Edit: Sorry, my bad. If you are getting the "a error occured when trying to read the disc, please eject and refer to you manual" it should be you using the wrong IOS to play the game.

If you have a black screen after the first battle, then only the dump is bad.

THERE IS NO NEED TO DELETE YOUR CURRENT ISO.
I'm also having this issue, so if I want to play it I need to get another .iso ?

Not necessary. Did you try playing SSBB using IOS 222?

if you do and still gets a black screen, try to redownload your cIOS 222. If black screen problem still occurs, most likely its a bad dump.

Also, a thing to note is that if you are ripping it from the disc itself, at the point of ripping, your USB Loader should have the settings of having cIOS 222 as the default IOS instaed of the normal cIOS 249.

Before trying to play it using IOS 222 I had not a black screen but "a error occured when trying to read the disc...". When I tried to play it using 222 then the black screen came. I will try redownload cIOS 222 and will reply.

i had the same problem with you. well, its a bad dump for my case. so the case may apply to you too. I tried to rip SSBB with my wiiflow loaded with cIOS 249.

What i did was i changed and try using cIOS222 to load wiiflow and try ripping the game all over again... whoala! it works now. (THIS IS IMPORTANT: In this case, the game was ripped by USB Loader with cIOS 222 as the default IOS.)

Please refer to this thread, it might help you:
