Quick Questionn about Mario Super Sluggers

I downloaded a NTSC version today (my system is Pal running 3.1E Firmware and mode chip is D2Pro 9 Wire. I burnt game onto disc and inserted it into my drive and it asked me to update but as mine is a PAL I knew not to do it. So I patched iso and blocked update and re burnt it and this time the game shows on my main screen but when I load it I get a black screen and nothing else. Any idea's anyone? Do I need to update my Wii Firmware? If I do is there a way round it without using the internet as my internet at home is uselss.

take out the disc, and go to the wii system settings and update there. After that put in the disc and see if it still asks u, if it still does, do not update!!!!!! Just get the pal version of the game then.

try this software Wii Update Manager (WUM) google it, and on the first one on the search list, click on it, follow the instructions on how to obtain the software, download it, once it is downloaded, unzip it using winrar and give the software a go. (P.S ensure that you have a clean unpatched image of the wii ISO so the software can work to it's fullest.)
