    Couple questions

I've done some reading, but cannot get these points clarified. Therefore, I'd like to confirm couple things.

    1. A "burned" Backup Game is still NOT Readable on regular PC DVD Drives. You'd still need the specialty Drives to read them.

    2. If you have the specialty Drives, you can always back up your burned games using Raw Dump method.

Just want to clarify these points. Thanks.

a burned backup game is readable and you can make an image of it again using a software like imageburn. this is useful if youre discs are getting scratched up and you dont have your iso file any longer.

thanks for the quick reply. So that answered 1 question. But to read the burned game, I'd still need the specialty drive, correct?

nope... you don't really need the special drive but I will recommend using it still to rip your burnt wii games over as a precaution.

    I'm confused.

To burn the game, regular DVD burner is okay. That I'm aware of.

But to read the "burned" games, I'd still need to use the LG Special drive. Burned games will not be readable through regular DVD drive still.

Am I correct? Because I burned couple games, but can't read them through any of my DVD burners. That's why I just want to make sure.

oh I'm sorry, the format nintendo wii games cannot be open at all, but however programs such as clone cd, imgburn and alcohol 120% can allow any drive to read the format and then burn it just like how it is read before.

Could you say that again? I thought you need a lg drive to read wii games then burn them to dvd using imgburn.

You only need the LG drive to read Original Wii Discs, if you are trying to make a backup of a backup then you would use ImgBurn to make the iso on your drive. You will not be able to read/see Wii disc (original or backup) using Windows explorer.
