Wii discs are special type and only a hand full of DVD Rom Drives can read a Wii Disc.

The following drives are the only known drives that can read Wii discs

    Hitachi LG GDR-8161b (IDE)
    Hitachi LG GDR-8162b (IDE)
    Hitachi LG GDR-8163b (IDE)
    Hitachi LG GDR-8164b (IDE)
    Hitachi LG GDR-H10NBLK (SATA)
Hitachi LG GDR-8082N - USB SLIM Portable Drive

For buring iso, use ImgBurn (its free) and DVD-R disc (Verbatim, Sony, TDK have shown most success) and burn at 4x.

Taiyo Yuden Premium Line are also top recommended. Also, make sure your verbatims are from japan or singapore. I personally burn at 2x for my TYs and havent had any problems (i did have problems burning at 6x). They were the easiest for me to find online. Use supermediastore.com
